Dr. Melissa Brown, a board-certified pediatric dentist from Atlanta, Georgia, brings a world of enthusiasm and expertise to every child’s dental experience. Dr. Brown graduated with honors from Spelman College and earned her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
After several years as a general dentist, Dr. Brown moved to New York to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a pediatric dentist. She completed a two-year residency program at Mount Sinai Bronx Care Health Systems. During her residency, Dr. Brown gained extensive training in dental sedation. She also treated patients at the Rose F. Kennedy Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a clinic for special needs children and adults.
During her last year of residency, Dr. Brown served as a chief resident of her pediatric dental program. After program completion, she became a diplomate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the highest accreditation level in the specialty. Dedicated to staying at the forefront of her field, Dr. Brown commits to many hours of continuing education each year to ensure she delivers the highest standard of care to her patients.
Aside from creating and maintaining healthy smiles, Dr. Brown’s joy lies in building lasting relationships with young patients and their families. Outside of the office, her playful spirit shines through her love for building Lego, traveling, volunteering, and visiting theme parks.
